Allow us to help you get the week off to a proper start by sharing the talents and story of Kelly and David of Pine & Pearl Photography. Based in the Bryan-College Station area this husband and wife team wonderfully capture the natural beauty all around them. Today they share how thier new baby girl has opened their eyes to new depths of love as well as how this husband and wife team came up with Pine & Pearl.
Heirloom: You have a new baby girl! Tell us about her! How is life with a new baby?
Pine & Pearl: We do have a new baby girl, Kennedy Jeanette Laws! She just turned two weeks old on Saturday and we are experiencing crazy new depths of love with this child. We're learning to live on much less sleep, doing about two loads of laundry a day, and diaper changes are constant but it's beyond worth it when we look into her beautiful eyes and experience this sweet gift from the Lord.
Heirloom: What's one thing/event/person/place you've always wanted to shoot but have yet to do it?
Pine & Pearl: Last fall, we had the opportunity to shoot our dream wedding at the foot of the Smoky Mountains on the border of Georgia and Tennessee and that has been a huge highlight of our photography carrier so far! Though we'd so love to journey to the Pacific Northwest for a wedding.
Heirloom: Tell us about your journey into photography! Is there a story?
Pine & Pearl: Photography is a passion that both of us share, I (Kelley) had a small business in highschool and Dave really picked it up in college. While we were engaged Pine and Pearl became a natural development for us. Since then, God has given us opportunities to continue and grow into where we are today and we are so thankful! Plus, working together is a blast! Our name, Pine and Pearl came about while we were dreaming up our business together. We were searching for a name that could encompass our natural style and also be appealing and exciting to potential clients. Pine incorporates our love for the outdoors and has a more masculine tone, while Pearl embraces our love for shooting weddings and adds a soft and feminine touch. As a husband and wife team, we felt like this name captures who we are and what we strive for in photography.
Heirloom: What’s one (or a couple) thing you love about working as a husband and wife team?
Pine & Pearl: We simply love being able to share a passion and work together, it's a blast!! Working with your best friend and getting to experience so many unique weddings is so special. The fact that Dave can really focus on and serve the groom and Kel the bride, allows us to capture so many fun details of our clients' big day and we cherish the extra time that comes with having two of us.
